Lumen Glow: a glow plugin for After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop
Wild Construct has released Lumen Glow, a glow plugin for After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop on Mac and Windows. Eight scales of bloom, dispersion from optical glass curves, and film grain inside the light. It is $79 for a perpetual license.

Wild Construct, Inc. has released Lumen Glow, a glow plugin for Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop on Mac and Windows. It finds the brightest parts of an image and blooms them into light that behaves the way light does in a lens: scattered through glass, dispersed across wavelengths, and landing on film. The work is done in linear light at 8, 16 and 32 bits per channel, including HDR.
What it does
- Bloom built from eight scales. Threshold and Highlight Rolloff decide what glows, Glow Size sets its reach, and Glow Spread sets how its light falls off.
- Spectral chromatic aberration: the image separates across the visible spectrum along five optical glass curves, radiating from where the light is rather than from the center of the frame.
- Film grain with a crystal field behind it, applied after the lens the way film is exposed, so aberration never smears it and it covers lens-scratch light too.
- Shimmer and pulse. Animated noise breaks the glow into living highlights, and Pulse breathes its size and intensity. Loop Length repeats both exactly, for a seamless loop.
- Lens scratches in eight patterns, lit by the highlights already in the shot.
- Glow that extends a layer's alpha, so text and logos look as they would over black and the glow does not stop at the bounding box.
- Twenty factory presets, browsed as live thumbnails. A look saved in one host opens in the others.
Three hosts, one license
In After Effects, Lumen Glow runs as an effect and supports Multi-Frame Rendering. In Premiere Pro it is a GPU-accelerated effect. In Photoshop it sits under Filter > Wild Construct with a live preview and the same factory presets; applied to a Smart Object it stays editable as a Smart Filter.
Lumen Transition is installed with it: a glow transition in Premiere Pro, and in After Effects a Transition Completion control to keyframe the glow across a cut.
Lumen Glow follows the language its host is set to, in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and Chinese (Simplified).
Price and licensing
Lumen Glow is $79 for a perpetual license. The version you buy keeps working, one license activates two machines, and purchases include two years of updates and support. Refunds are available within seven days of purchase.
Entropy and Lumen Glow are also sold together, for $339.
Requirements
Lumen Glow needs After Effects, Premiere Pro or Photoshop 2025 or later, on an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 15 Sequoia or later, or on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 with a graphics card that supports DirectX 12. In Photoshop it works on 8-bit RGB documents in sRGB.
